This project, The Heart Ward, written by award-winning writer Max Hafler  will be performed in the Galway Theatre Festival on May 8th/9th for three performances.
It charts a stay in his local hospital with heart failure, explores advocacy and dealing with the hospital system. In doing so, the poems contrast his experience now, with his birth and early childhood, with the condition spina bifida occulta.
